Hope Abides

Hopeful  Or Hopeless

On December 31, 2015 we received some unpleasant and unexpected news.  I won't go into all the details with you; however things were looking very dim.

Yes I am a network marketer but one must also have a steady form of income until they reach the pro level.  I had been looking for gainful enployment for about three months.  Then on New Years Eve it felt like the bottom was dropping out.

How low must we go?  Why was this happening to us?  Here I am at fifty years old  and taking care of an ailling husband without a steady income and ●BAM■ life smacks me in the face.

Blogging, writing was really something that I just couldn't bring myself to do until today.  After struggling with the employment issues I finally landed employment with the Eaton Corporation here in Aurora,  CO.

Just when we thought things were finally looking up another "slap in the face" from life.  Facing the unknown, facing homelessness isn't an easy thing to go through.   Praying, crying, screaming at God and wondering,  "when will this end"?

In I Thessalonians 5: 17 the bible tells us to "Pray without ceasing"

Pray without ceasing is hard to do when you're faced with huge obstacles in the way.  Trying to keep focused on God and his plan for my life as been a challenge in the past.  However this time it had become even harder. "Do I keep my hope in the Lord Jesus Christ and know that al things are working together for my good" or do I loose my hope and let despair, fear, hopelessness and curse God for this storm???

If there's a few things that my mother and father taught me through their faith in Jesus Christ was never give into the trials of this world.  Always, always keep your faith and hope in Christ no matter what!

Does hope abide?

We can choose to run from the adversities that come are way, or we can run into the storm and barrel through to the otherside knowing that hope is alive and hope is what keeps us moving forward in our faith and life.
